Bleak and hard-hitting drama about the experiences - none of them good - of four girls condemned to the Magdalene laundries of '60s Ireland. At times gut-wrenching in its emotional intensity, this features excellent performances from a strong (albeit largely unknown) cast. It's an important story and not one for the squeamish.
