The Human Stain

Hopkins plays Coleman Silk, a professor accused of racism in this adaptation of Philip Roth's novel; while the accusation is false, Silk's past comes back to haunt him when he embarks on an affair with a younger woman (Kidman). Excellent performances from a strong cast, although the script strains too hard for worthiness.
