The Devil's Rejects
Starring: Bill Moseley, Sheri Moon, Sid Haig
Details: US, 109 mins, 18s.
Q: What's worse than a mass murderer? A: An entire family of them.
And worse still, a film about a family of mass murderers. What we have here is your stereotypical Alabama family: an idiot gimp son, a grizzly son, the hot Daisy Duke-type daughter, an over loving momma and a sicko father who dresses like a clown. The movie opens with this family of freaks completely surrounded by police in their Deep South hideout. An uninspiring gun battle ensues. The family escapes and so Rob Zombie has set the tone for this gruesome and pointless film. Although technically and cinematically literate, The Devil's Rejects has nothing worthwhile to offer.
