Over-achieving restaurateur John Clasky (Sandler) and hyperactive wife Deborah (Leoni) take a Mexican cleaning lady (Vega) into their house with disastrous consequences for their failing marriage. A sharply-observed comedy obsessed with middle-class values (or lack of same), Spanglish is notable for being the first time Sandler isn't nails-on-blackboard irritating.
