Based on Patrick Galvin's fact-based story, Song... tells a story of vicious and savage abuse heaped on the boys who attended a religious institution in 1930s Cork. Quinn turns in an excellent performance (as does most of the largely unknown cast), and the barely-contained anger at the boys' treatment is admirably controlled.
