Maya (Ryder), who has previously survived an exorcism, deciphers a math puzzle that suggests crime writer Peter (Chaplin) is the Antichrist; naturally, only she can save him. There are nods to The Exorcist and The Omen, but the plodding storyline and ludicrous script undermine the tension and scupper any potential for horror.
