Billed as an 'existential comedy' designed to investigate the meaning of environmentalist Albert's (Schwartzman) life via a metaphysical detective agency (manned by Hoffman and Tomlin), I Heart Huckabees is a cerebral film that's a little too clever for its own good. There's some good old-fashioned slapstick in among the intellectualisms, though, and Hoffman and Mark Wahlberg are surprisingly funny.
