He's back, ten years after his escape, but the cannibal only serves up an occasional tasty morsel in this disappointing sequel. Hopkins is as restrained as ever, Moore dutifully does what she really shouldn't do, but the story is a sprawling, disjointed affair and no one - least of all director Scott - seems capable of joining the dots.
