A robust remake of the 1965 original, in which a plane-crash in the desert leaves its survivors stranded without hope of rescue. Quaid is in good form in the role of the grizzled hero who marshals his troops to build a new plane from the wreckage of the old, and he gets lots of help from Ribisi and Otto. Irish director Moore (Behind Enemy Lines) is at the helm.
