The mostly-based-on-a-true-story of the tale behind J.M. Barrie's (Depp) masterpiece Peter Pan, Finding Neverland is something of a fairytale in itself, featuring a number of surreal set-pieces. An excellent cast and strong performances distract from the gaping holes in the plot, while young Freddie Highmore is superb as the inspiration for the boy who never grew up.
