Not so much a rehash as a complete hash made of the elements that made the original a fresh, irreverent comedy. Bridget (Zellweger) is even ditzier, the men are even more implausibly enamored by her, and the plot - even allowing for a ludicrous interlude in Thailand - is a re-run of the first. Cynical opportunism.
